Meet Dr. Anders Cohen: New York’s Premier Neurosurgeon
In a busy metropolis like the city of New York, it is refreshing to find a doctor who actually takes extra effort to deliver quality healthcare and compassionate service. It is then now wonder that hundreds troop to the clinic of Dr. Anders Cohen, the city’s premier neurosurgeon.
While other physicians may seem to neglect the ‘service’ component of healthcare, Dr. Cohen makes sure every patient is well attended to, before, during and after the conduct of any treatment procedure. With his highly efficient and courteous staff, scheduling appointments are a breeze – even if Dr. Cohen travels frequently here and abroad to deliver lectures on the newest techniques and technologies in the field of neurology.
Dr. Cohen is known for being the first New York surgeon to perform the XLIF, AxialLIF (Trans1) and dynamic rod procedures. He also pioneered lumbar and cervical decompression, discectomy, fusion and motion preservation techniques, and generously shares his knowledge to colleagues in the profession.
A graduate of the prestigious New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and a former resident at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Dr. Cohen now serves as the head of the Neurosurgery Unit of the Brooklyn Hospital Center, and is also affiliated with the St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx. He also teaches at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, where he is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurological Surgery.
